The TDI Intro to Cave Diver course provides an introduction to the basic principles of cave diving.
This course serves as an introduction to the fundamental principles of cave diving, focusing on the use of a single primary guide line.
As the second level in developing proper cave diving techniques, it builds directly upon the skills learned in the Cavern Diver course. This introductory cave diving course does not aim to train divers for all aspects of cave diving.
Instead, its objective is to perfect the skills taught in the Cavern Diver program while introducing additional techniques and procedures necessary for elementary cave dives.
Prerequisites
Minimum Age: 18 years old, 15 with parental consent.
Certification: Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from a recognized diving organization.
Experience: At least 50 logged dives, with experience in night diving and navigation recommended.
Course Duration
The Introduction to Cave Diving course typically takes 3-4 days to complete, including classroom sessions, confined water training, and with limited penetration 80 minutes bottom time at 2 different locations.
